Is Rockchip RK3328 better than RK3318?

I need an Android set-top box, which is currently entangled in the purchase of H96 MAX Plus or H96 MAX.

The functions of these two products are basically the same, the difference is that one is RK3328, and the other is RK3318. I noticed that the H96 MAX Plus is more expensive than the H96 MAX. So, is Rockchip RK3328 better than RK3318? Or is it worth my money to buy the H96 MAX Plus?

We currently have no Rockchip forum thread because atvXperience software is not made for Rockchip devices and only Amlogic devices.

To answer you question, Yes, the RK3328 is better than the RK3318. Rockchip upgraded the GPU in RK3318 to match the Amlogic S905X but made the chip with cheaper grade silicon which requires the newer CPU to be clocked at a lower frequency. The relationship of RK3318 vs RK3328 is similiar to Amlogic S905W vs. S905X.

If you can afford a new device, at the minimum get an Amlogic S905x2/S905y2 or the new S905x3. Rockchip currently is not the best option to buy, the new generation of Rockchip CPU's will be on-sale in 2020 which will be powerful enough to match and even beat Amlogic in performance benchmarks. RK3530 and RK3588 are the new chipsets not yet released.

It's best if we cling on to Amlogic for now. I hardly have time to make ROMs for 3 chipsets at the same time.

Good morning all,
Already I wanted to say congratulations, your service is really great, an extraordinary interface.
You have created a great Atvxperience I like a lot.
I currently have a box x96 Mini.
I have a second box for the room but not under amlogic.
She is under rockchip 3318, the interface is zero, I prefer Atvxperience ..
Are you going to diversify to create a firmware for rockchip 3318?
I wish you a good day. And a big thank you to all of you.
PS: I am under translator so sorry if my sentences are not correct

I want to be sure that my box is compatible and if you had a little tutorial to flash the rom: blush:
