Hi,

Do we know what the next S905X2 device to get v3 will be and when? The A95X Max is a bit big for what I need so would rather buy something smaller.

The list of supported devices doesnt seem to show any unless its just not displaying properly on my phone

They are only S905X though arent they?

Where is that from? Never heard of that one.

I was looking at everything with S905x2 chips and also available from Gearbest.com and the 2 devices that are on Sale that look like decent purchases are the Magicsee N5_Max and A95X_F2, both with probably the most to gain from a custom ROM. Only downside of the A95X_F2 is it is the only S905x2 that I've seen that comes with DDR3 and not DDR4, but it is also the only Amlogic device advertised as Vulcan driver activated in the ROM. The S905x2 chip has Vulcan support built-in but no other manufacturer has implemented or advertised it active from what I have seen.

Yes X96 Max... It is cheap and it works great... I have 2 here 4/32... Would recommend that you do not go lower in memory than that as it appears the 2/16 ones do not have bluetooth, do not have dual band wifi and are 100MB ethernet instead of 1000MB like the 4/32 and 4/64 models.

You are correct, never get the budget low memory model, the manufactures will short you and give you cheaper components in the device and from the outside it looks just like the main model.

Only reason why I won't get the X96_MAX is that it seems like all the ROM developers on FreakTab have a ROM for that device. Want a device that is less common or has less support. X96 manufacture has even been supporting that device with a bunch of OTAs so it is a good buy and I do indeed recommend the X96_MAX to end-user noobs that wont be installing ROMs, that or the Beelink GT-mini.

Ok, this "Super Deal" short term flash sale at Gearbest pushed me to get a S905x2 to play with.

Three weeks ago, i ordered also A95X F2 (32GB model) and the order status has not changed yet, i did choose priority shipping.

They must not be having the stock. I ordered an H96 Play and it wasn't shipped for a month so I had to change the product.
