Hello how are you?
I'm super happy with ATVX so far, but i have one issue that is preventing me from use it more time .
I have two boxes, one is an w95 s905w and the other is an X96 s905X.
When i do flash Atvx on them, both get the same mac address and unfortunately they do get the same ip address from the router, it gets crazy because dhcp never knows what to do with 2x same mac on the lan.
I even tried version 2ff, 2h, the minix freak version, on them all the same happens.
Is there a way to avoid it from happening? like if i could flash them without this mac address problem i would be able to use both simultaneously without any problem.
Maybe is there a way to return the original mac address?
EDIT: i know what i did wrong, i selected for erase all on amlogic burn tool and it erased the mac address of the boxes lol
Question 2:
PS: Is Atvx a 64bit OS ? or is there an 64bit version to try? i would like to try retroarch64 on my projects too hehe.
Waiting to hear from the experts. Thank you so much
[HELP] How to return original mac address?

I am guessing you solved your first issue about wifi.... but tip is always to use Static IP addresses with Amlogic TV boxes.
For Question 2:
atvXperience is a 32-bit OS, if Retroarch64 firmware loads from SDcard then it doesn't matter what OS is in the tv box cause it just uses the hardware and not Android OS, so no need to worry there.

Normally a random MAC address will always be generated based on the cpu_id, even if you have deleted the original MAC from the eMMC or efuse. With a small change in the uboot environment, you can assign the currently generated ethaddr to the initargs or you can use a fixed ethaddr:jasonhelene wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 12:57 pmThanks for the answer, how do i return the original mac address?ricklar wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 8:10 am I am guessing you solved your first issue about wifi.... but tip is always to use Static IP addresses with Amlogic TV boxes.

Code: Select all
#define CONFIG_RANDOM_ETHADDR 0 /* use random eth addr, or default */
#define CONFIG_ETHADDR 00:15:18:01:81:31 /* Ethernet address */

Thank you so much!
If i could give you guys a suggestion for the next release, you guys should take note on that and change if possible, because if i have like two or 3 same model boxes on my home they are all going to get the same mac and it is a super problem.
Thank you so much.
