Oreo Features we would like for S912:
  • Please build in TWRP
  • Proper hardware adaptation of ram amount
  • Make something that we can organize the icons on homescreen without this stupid TV App Repo

The first two on your list are achievable. Will look into pinning the AppDrawer as first icon, but note the LeanbackLauncher is kind of limited, closed source code, and not so easy to modify.

The last piece of puzzle is left. The framework needs to be modified but can't because it ends up in a bootloop. Trying to fix this stuff, taking too much time.

I am wondering the same thing, since i am using a beelink gt1 ultimate s912.

After reading all I can see that the tx3 mini will not get the oreo atv custom Rom but v3 will update the apps excerpts bummer
