Context: Nvidia Shield user here. A friend of mine was about to throw away a S905X 1g/8g box but instead of doing that, he decided to give it to me to find if it was useful at all. I checked the poor specs but decided to give atvXperience a shot and put this box on my children room.
Now my doubt:
I see that on final version Mega link, there are .img and .zip version. I already watched and read instructions to flash image file via USB Burning tool and a PC. But, I was wondering if it's possible to just use .zip version via the Update&Backup app on this box. Do I just need to throw the .zip file on a mSD card or USB pen drive and update using that file? Or is using the .img file method mandatory?
