[HELP] Gmail app Crash on v2FF?
I can confirm that a lot of apps are not working on 2ff (e.g. WebXperience, EON, stbEMU, , IPTV Extreme, IPTV Smarters, Firefox for AndroidTV etc.) and they basically all behave the same, start with a splash-screen and then just exit and back to atvx homescreen. EON for AndroidTV crashes after splash-screen and EON non-AndroidTV version crashes after you want to start broadcasting any channel. Smart YouTube app can be started only first time and later behaves the same (exiting to atvX home), Netflix for AndroidTV also, Netflix for normal Android starts but haven't tried streaming anything as I don't have an account yet and it's not a big interest to me but suspect it would crash before starting streaming. Other pre-installed apps work normally and almost all video players that I've tested (Kodi, VLC, MX Player, Exo Player, etc) worked flawlessly.

What is the exact RAM type in the box? DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR3 ?
Most likely you just need to update GoogleWebview app and Google Play Services.

Hello ricklar, thanks for your interest. My tvbox is Tanix TX92, LPDDR3 version (3 of them actually and all with same issues). Google Webview update didn't help, haven't tried updating Google Play Services yet but saw some advice on a different thread about leaving the original bootloader intact when flashing atvX in order to keep original RAM frequency unchanged so I'm thinking about trying that one too if everything else fails.

Yes, probably a ram timing issue then. So first install a stock firmware with "Erase Bootloader" ticked to get the Bootloader correctly installed. Make sure box is running correctly with stock firmware, then can try and reinstall ATVx with not checking "Erase Bootloader."
Also there is an LPDDR3 version of V2H with correct Ram timing for LPDDR3 in the H96 Pro+ topic thread, if V2FF doesn't work with the Bootloader trick.
Use the latest AMLogic USB Burning Tool, found in Links forum section or Tutorial section.

Will try this tomorrow as updating Google Play Service didn't help. I was wondering if I could achieve this by using TWRP instead? I've already made a complete backup (all partitions) of my box straight out-of-the-box (this expression sounds funny), so I have full TWRP stock ROM nandroid backup. If this is possible, what partition should I restore, only boot partition or else?

TWRP is great when using stock firmware or original firmware, not so great when switching firmwares and trying to use TWRP as the middleman.
TWRP does not backup or install the Bootloader, is an idiot proof design so you never wipe the Bootloader, DTB, Uboot from device by accident. Bootloader is where Ram timing is set, why you have to use USB Burning Tool to reset it if you have already installed AtvX.

Thanks for clarification, will do it the proper way, as you suggested. One more thing, I was unable to find the V2H LPDDR3 version for S912 with correct RAM timings, could you please pinpoint me to the download links? Thanks a lot.
Edit: found something in the downloads sections for S912 on the atvX website:
the v2H - Optional Build (Use only if v2FF has problems) - RELEASED BY ADAM-ANDREWIMG FORMAT
Is this the version you were reffering to? If so, which one is the LPDDR3 compatible version?
