Yes, it does have amlocodec but it won't be updated. It uses kodi 17.1 as base but it also uses a totally different version system, so for playx 17.1 is the latest and it has all the latest kodi bug fixes.

does not work for me on my x96 mini s905w(1gb/8gb) running version 2C, crashes at start every time. tried everything: clearing cash, clearing data, downloading v4 from apps.atvxperience.com, force stopping and nothing works. even worse i can't even install kodi from aptoide or google play as it gets stuck on the "installing" screen, please send help. i feel my only option now is to root and completely remove playxperience (i disabled it and installing kodi still didn't work)

That's a v2c bug, will be fixed in the new release.

playXperiance supports amcodec, so respective option might be visible in settings (Level - Advanced, Video).
I installed this apk and did not find amcodec option, only MediaSurface.
Probably this option is not visible and turned on by default always?

Easy question for you, this is an awesome build, any thoughts on how to get the standard kodi pvr repo installed? Is there a specific way to get this going? I'd appreciate it, I am looking for two modules, the IPTV Simple and the Stalker MW.

I'd love to find out if the amcodec is being use for sure as I see the same thing you do, which is the mediasurface HW acceleration.
