[Discussion] H96 Pro+ ~Pros, cons, and tips

Hi all,

Just wanted to report my issues with 2FF on my H96 Pro+. That's the Vorke one, specifically.

The official YouTube app works great, but the smart YouTube player app crashes on launch. As does the webxperience app, dolphin browser and Morpheus player(which hopefully doesn't disqualify this post).
Bluetooth connects to my headphones, but it stutters so much it is unusable.

That's everything I can think of at the moment.

Any solutions to these problems would be appreciated as well.

This was true for me aswell with the versions before V2FF but now on V2FF the bluetooth just doesnt switch on?
Im not sure if theres a zip that needs to be flashed etc, maybe a more experienced person can help us out with this?

Hi! the trouble with some apps it's a bug on LPDDR3 version.

Yes, sorry. When I mentioned "the vorke version" I was referring to the LPDDR3 version.

I confirm the issues with 2FF on H96 Pro+, the Vorke/LPDDR3 model:

- The official YouTube app works, but the smart YouTube player app crashes on launch.
- The webxperience app crashes
- Amazon prime video crashes
- I cannot get Plex to play a movie with sound (maybe it is my setup I cannot confirm it is rom related)
- Bluetooth does not work well, as well as wifi that it is unstable. I had to try several times before 1st connection.

A fix would be very appreciated!!

It is a great work, but these bugs let the ROM unusable for the box. Anyway, thanks a lot to the team for the effort!!!

Apps are not crashing for my H96 Pro Plus however the bluetooth does not start.

I would like to know if there is a zip I could flash for the bluetooth

I have two H96 Pro Plus, a blue PCB and a green PCB, and the blue PCB h96PRo Plus sucks, apps crash everywhere, same issues everyone else has. -sigh- so it is hit an miss for you guys.

In my H96Pro + after some time whole internal memory is full (32GB) I have to restart the box otherwise the applications will turn off automatically.

I noticed this problem in my box as well. Only noticed when I was tweaking ram/dalvik.vm settings that eventually bricked my box. Back up and running now.

1) The CleanX pre-installed system app is clone of horrible CM cleaner. Advise uninstall and install a good cleaner app. My Test: Used the CleanX then immediately open and run SD Maid Pro for comparison and SD Maid cleans a further 400mb after first running the CleanX. CMcleaner apps are total shit, eliminate from your rom.

2) Edit build.prop system file to disable Loggers add code:

# Disable Logers
profiler.force_disable_err_rpt=1
profiler.force_disable_ulog=1
logcat.live=disable

3) Check file locations for excessive build-up of Log files:

/data/system/dropbox

4) Settings>Developer Options:

Turn OFF < Logger buffer sizes >
