I would like to say that I installed things, and while it is not perfect, it is really cool and a much better interface.

That said, the whole explanation on Chromecast working but 'not actually working' is crap. One of my main reasons for trying is that I use Hulu and it requires Chromecast for live TV. Yes, the AirScreen does work, but requires launching it and clicking play and also has ads. I could support it, but Chromecast was what I wanted. I want to be able to just access Chromecast WHENEVER I am anywhere in the player.

Please correct your advertisement for this that 'Chromecast' works, or ideally fix Chromecast.

Also, I must say, the 'instructions' leave a lot to be desired and provides literally no real information on how to get anything work. First thing I did was install a non-working Netflix, so ultimately, there needs more information.

Chromecast Built-In player for androidTV OS needs license keys that are specific to devices officially licensed by Google to offer androidTV. atvXperience or any other modified androidTV OS firmware will never be able to natively offer an official Chromecast app or Chromecast receiver function. Sorry, it is what is. The only app I could find to have casting function was AirReceiver, a paid app that works great for casting from iOS phone or tablet to TVbox, but was not able to find anything to cast from my android phone that had a seemless user experience like native Chromecast.

This forum has a lot of "instructions" on various topics and lot more information than a silly instructions list would or could contain. But If you want to contribute a detailed "instructions list" for every user's wants and needs when installing atvX firmware, feel free to do so, it would be much appreciated.

I understand 'it is what it is' but the advertisement is that it includes Chromecast in it. Therefore, the claim that this has native support for Chromecast is completely incorrect, misleading and ultimately a ploy to get people to use the system for no major benefit.

A getting started would be a good place to contain basic info.

1. Install OS
2. Do not remove or update App until you read the forum
3. Certain Android TV apps will work out of the box, others do not. Certain Android Apps work out of the box, others do not.
4. This is truly a Beta experience since it is very piecemeal and not a full solution.

I am not trying to be critical, but honestly it is very misleading. The main page clearly says it includes Chromecast, but you are saying there is NO chromecast support what so ever. iOS airwatch is not chromecast.

There was NO "ploy to get people to use the system" LOL. Chromecast is a not just an app, Chromecast is also a communication protocol that is built into Android. Like Miracast, another protocol to cast between devices, not just an app.
The main page clearly says it includes Chromecast,
If you refer to the XDA page post or the FreakTab page post, both are very old postings and not regularly maintained, apologies.

Yeah I'm sorry for that. I didn't use a better term. 'Casting' works with airscreen, chromcast is a google app for casting, so both do the same thing but have different names and developers. Chromecast only works in google certified devices.

All AndroidTV apps work, except for those which need license. I am not trying to sell anything here, everything's free but just looks like fancy 'advertising' because some people were excited about this project and decided to put their own money to buy the website and pay for server from their own pockets, we don't even stress about donations anymore.

As for the beta experience, it'll always perform like a beta when you put it on some cheap hardware or an unknown board. I did everything I could to keep this stable but some boards have incompatibility problems.
As long as you use the mainstream ones, you'll be fine.

I don't do magic here, can't make your devices google certified or anything, but I sure can help you with your problems :)
Oh and as Ricklar said, the freaktab thread is totally outdated and on XDA, I don't really go online much.
