Hi. I've been working on this for days and can't figure it out. I have a
BnB and have 12 TV boxes running in it. I have setup one of the box using
atvexperience and installed all apps and stuff that I want.
Now I make a backup of this using twrp but when I do a restore on another
x96 mini the remote don't work. Only the keyboard that is plugged in the
usb port.
All the other stuff is restored on the new x96 mini exactly like the last
one. Only difference is that the first x96 mini atv was put on using the
amlogic burning tool and the other one was done with a backup from twrp.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong or how to get it to work. We have done some
tweaks on the box that allows us to run a certain app here in our country
which we can't without these settings on the box. This is why a restore is
easier as the burning tool doesn't install those settings which takes
forever.
Thanks all. Your help would be appreciated.

All things being the same, the TWRP_Backup should have functioned on the other box like it was on the original box. But, the stock/original "bootloader, dtb, or uboot" (which don't get replaced with TWRP) may have conflicts with AtvX software and that is where the IR-remote gets its lower level programming to connect to the hardware; so if your second box is still on Stock firmware at least flash AtvX firmware before doing the Restore of your saved Backup to the second box and try again.
You may also have different hardware inside your X96mini, the board may be different Revisions, a clone where components may be from different suppliers to save costs and components are different enough to cause the problem as well. Open the boxes up and make sure your boards match. Should be date codes and version numbers printed on the PCB's.
