I have the same box. Samsung chips and S905X. Did you find a firmware that works?

Installed rom atvX_s905x_rtl_ssv_v4.0.1 on a T95M tv box. I can't seem to shut down this box because it spontaneously reboots the box after a shut down. Is there a way that it stays off when I hit the power button?

Describe it in more detail. Do you see Android UI on the TV? Or does it stay dark during this strange behavior?

The rom works OK (except for the USB ports. Those are not working but for me not really an issue) I can navigate through all of the Android UI with no problem. I can start all of the apps installed. Watch movies through Kodi etc. But when I want to shut off the box with the power button on the remote (or through the Power Menu app), it does respond and shuts off but then immediately powers on again without me touching anything.

This is a great ROM (atvX-s905x_RTL_SSV_v4.0), it works great on my device (bqeel m9c Max) with an s905x with 2gb RAM and 16gb ROM, everything works, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Sound, etc., it gave new life to my box which I was getting ready to discard because the apps were becoming obsolete due to android 6 incompatibility issues, thanks to the creators behind this great work !

Hello and thank you for the great ROM you have produced! I've spent few hours googling and reading, but haven't found an answer. I have M8S II 2gb+16gb and as far as I can remember I've installed s905x_2G_atvXperience_v2FF on it using SD card method. I also have TWRP 3.2.1.0-0 installed on the box and made a backup of my current installation.

What I can't find is - Will I be able to use my backup to go back to v2 of ROM if installation of v4 fails?

From what I can tell main reason you can't use TWRP to flash this version is it going from Android 7 to 9, so I'm worried if flashing v4 fails I won't be able to go back to v2. Moreover I've never used USB Burning Tool making whole thing even more uncertain. Thank you in advance.

You need to use USB Burning Tool as it is a fail-safe method, that is required, when you switch between different android OS versions, and if you want to restore your backup afterwards.

My apologies if I'm being thick, I would like to clarify this. After installing v4 on my box using USB Burning Tool, TWRP will remain installed on the box, I will be able to boot into TWRP and restore v2 from the backup if needed, correct? Thank you in advance!
