Whenever a video is played the resolution keeps changing to 1080p24hz. I have tried disabling auto-resolution and the different colour palettes but it keeps changing from the set 1080p60hz to 1080p24hz. Is there a solution for this?

bladewarrior , you have to change in android settings "auto framerate" "level 2" or "level 1" into "disable".

Tried everything... Only resolution that sticks is 1080i60h... Is there some sort way to force it to be 1080p60h other than settings?

There is no solution known atm.
This is just a dtb incompatibility thing, many users don't have this problem. It's device specific.

Turn OFF HDMI-CEC in the Settings. My device was stuck on 24hz as well, the hdmi-cec was the problem. To unstick my device I re-flashed firmware with Amlogic Burning Tool, making sure to NOT Check the Erase All selection box so all my apps and data stayed intact. Then after device startup turn OFF hdmi-cec immediately. And now my device stays at 1080p60hz. Might be possible to delete the settings file for TVsettings through a Root Explorer but I didn't investigate that option, just reflashed firmware.
