Help with app

I am trying to run a app that is not compatible with android TV. But can't run it. The app starts, show the start image and them close.
The app that i'am try to run is Vodafone TV

Have you used that app on other devices?

The main problem if the Vodafone was able to install on your box with AtvX firmware is probably that the app has DRM verification and the AtvX does not have the DRM license. Sorry.

Or the problem could be that the App has a built in requirement to run on only high API # machines, meaning only faster newer devices. Example the app is built for Android 8 or above with a minimum API26 and your TVbox has an API24 so your box is too weak for the app.

Looks like you need a phone version of Google play services fir this to work

Can I install or flash in the rom?

[mention]reven[/mention] you would need to modify apk. Either modify the app to remove the dependencies of Google Play Services, which usually breaks most apps. Or modify the app to be recognize in android TV os. There is no easy fix.

@reven you can try to use opengapps, I don't think it will work to get the extra app functionality because of the special AndroidTV OS. FYI I tried to Flash Opengapps just to get the latest updated AndroidTV gapps package and because the gapps package is 7.1 and not 7.1.2 like the firmware, flashing it crashed my box and had to burn the firmware from pc again.

TV Gapps will crash for sure but not if you only flash playservices.
