Hello!
i got a m16 tv box, s905x with 2gb ram.. i tried to flash (usb method) every image, but without success. I always get the uboot error (Romcode/Switch status/Check connect/Enum device error); if i uncheck "erase flash" and/or "erase bootloader" i get the "Uboot/Get result/DiskInitial error" error; i tried to unpack level1 stock firmware, overwritting and repack but i just got the device bricked (i had to nand mask mode).
Is this box not compatible? is there other test i can try?
thanks in advance!

Install the stock ROM temporarily, I will analyze it and try updating atvX accordingly.

Edit: Please tell me how the RAM chips are arranged on the board, one-sided or from both sides of the board? And what is the exact name of the RAM chips..?

Update: i finally got it working by unpacking atv rom, replacing
_aml_dtb.PARTITION
bootloader.PARTITION
UBOOT.USB
with stock one and repacking.

Update2: the rom (tried with all versione) starts, but the video is poor/glitchy; it seems to be splitted in 2 parts, where the lower one is the same of the upper one.
Remote controller also doesn't work, even if i use stock remote.conf.

Type the following command in the terminal and show the output

Code: Select all

cat /proc/cmdline
Which resolution did you set?

atv starts at 480p 60fps, but the problem persists no matter which resolution i use; btw i use a monitor with 1080 max resolution.
Boot logo and animation are display correctly.
i tried cat command, but without su it says "permission denied" and with su "unknow id cat"; anyway is the atv one and it say

Code: Select all

buildvariant=userdebug
