I just changed firmware on my Transpeed 8K X3_plus and had that happen. Losing the clock was no big deal. However losing the remote.conf file was a very big deal. Now my factory remote doesn't work anymore and I can't find the proper remote.conf file. If you do flash your box make sure your box is rooted and go into the root/ETC folder and get the remote.conf file or you will have the same problem I have.
